One of the greatest aspects of belonging to a whiskey club is the opportunity for the club to purchase its own barrel of whiskey. No two barrels of whiskey are the same, as every variable that the whiskey encounters from the time it is barreled until it is bottled will affect its character and flavor.

The Detroit Whiskey Society prides itself on finding interesting barrels from distilleries across the United States (and hopefully someday, across the world).
